Repurpose

One idea, everywhere it fits

The expensive part of content is having the idea and checking it is true. Everything after that is formatting, and treating each format as a fresh creative act is why cadences collapse.

Three steps

How it will work

  1. Start from the research

Whatever cost the most to learn is what should be repurposed hardest.

  2. Map to formats, not platforms

The same clip going to three platforms is distribution. Three formats from one idea is repurposing, and only the second multiplies anything.

  3. Space them out

Four videos from one idea posted in one week reads as repetition. Across a month it reads as a theme.

What it is for

Why this one is worth having

  • Ideas are the bottleneck, not production

Once generation makes production cheap, the constraint moves entirely upstream. A repurposing plan is what keeps the idea supply ahead of the posting schedule.

  • Formats, then platforms

Cross-posting one video to three platforms costs nothing and adds nothing. Three genuinely different formats from one insight is where the leverage is.

  • Spacing prevents cannibalisation

Two videos on the same claim in three days compete with each other. The same two a fortnight apart compound.

FAQ

Repurposing planner, asked and answered

How many posts from one idea is too many?

When the fourth one is padding the idea rather than expressing it. Three to five is the usual honest ceiling for a single insight.

Is repurposing the same as reposting?

No. Reposting is the identical asset again. Repurposing is a different format making the same point, and audiences respond to them completely differently.

Does repurposing look lazy?

Only when it is obvious. A theme explored across a month reads as expertise, and the same theme in a week reads as a stuck record.
