Planning

A month, planned once

Nobody stops posting because they ran out of ideas. They stop because the daily act of making the thing collides with the rest of their job, which is a scheduling problem wearing a creative costume.

Three steps

How it will work

  1. Pick a cadence you will keep

Three a week held for three months beats seven a week held for nine days. This is the single most common planning mistake.

  2. Group by theme, not by day

Batching one theme is much faster than making one video eleven different times.

  3. Leave slots empty

A plan with no gaps has nowhere to put the thing that actually happens this month.

What it is for

Why this one is worth having

  • The plan is a buffer

The point of planning a month is not organisation. It is that a bad Tuesday stops costing you a post.

  • Themes beat calendars

Assigning a topic to a specific date creates a deadline you will miss. Assigning a topic to a week creates a batch you will make.

  • Cadence, then volume

Raise the frequency only once the current one has become boring. Boredom is the signal that enough of it is automated.

FAQ

30-day content plan, asked and answered

How many posts a week is right?

Three is the honest answer for most people starting out. The right number is the largest one you can hold for three months without dreading it.

Should every post be planned?

No. Leave room for reactive posts, which are frequently the best ones. A plan that fills every slot is a plan that fights reality.

Does batching hurt quality?

It usually helps it. Making eleven videos on one theme in one sitting means you are warmed up for ten of them.
