MCP

One command and your agent makes reels

PikoReels MCP connects your AI agent to PikoReels so it can create finished reels and publish them to Instagram, TikTok and YouTube, hands-free.

FAQ

Questions before you connect

Do I need an API key?

No, and there is not one to generate. npx -y @pikoreels/mcp login prints an eight-character code and opens https://app.pikoreels.com/device. You sign in, check the code matches and press Connect, and the terminal picks up the token. Nothing secret is ever typed into the terminal.

Which clients does it work with?

Any MCP client. The server runs on stdio and takes no arguments, so Claude Code, Claude Desktop and Codex are one line each, and anything else that speaks the protocol can invoke npx -y @pikoreels/mcp the same way.

How do I revoke access?

piko-mcp logout clears the local credential. The token is an ordinary PikoReels session and shows up in Settings then Security as PikoReels MCP, so you can also sign it out server-side from there at any time.

Does generating cost credits?

Yes, and an agent can spend them. Video runs 5 to 50 credits per second depending on the model, and the charge lands when a job is accepted rather than when it succeeds. list_studio_models hands the agent the same rates so it can choose with them, and the full table is on the pricing page.

Can I point it at a different deployment?

Set PIKOREELS_URL. It defaults to https://app.pikoreels.com. PIKOREELS_HOME moves where the credential lives, which is how you keep a second account separate. A client has to be launched with the same PIKOREELS_HOME you logged in under.
