Repurpose
Audio that works on mute
Podcast clips are the hardest repurposing job in short-form, because the source has no visual component at all and the destination is a surface most people scroll with the sound off.

Three steps
How it will work
Pull the complete exchange
Podcast clips need both the question and the answer. Half an exchange is the most common broken clip.
Make speech visible
Captions are the video. Everything else on screen is secondary, which is the opposite of how most podcast clips are built.
Show who is talking
Two voices with no visual distinction is unfollowable on mute. A name, a colour, anything.
What it is for
Why this one is worth having
Mute-first or nothing
Podcast clips are watched silently far more often than they are heard. A clip whose meaning lives in the audio has already failed for most of its audience.
Captions are the design
Timing, weight and line breaks in the captions are the entire visual craft of a podcast clip. Treating them as a subtitle track is why most look identical and none perform.
A static logo is a dead clip
Something has to move. A waveform is the minimum, b-roll is better, and a still image with text over it reads as an audiogram nobody asked for.

What you can already do
Generating b-roll to sit behind a spoken line, with the caption written and timed, works today inside AI Studio. The episode ingest is the part still being built.
AI StudioFAQ
Podcast to clips, asked and answered
Do podcast clips actually grow a show?
They grow the clip account reliably and the show modestly. The conversion from short-form viewer to podcast subscriber is real but much smaller than the view counts suggest.
How long should a podcast clip be?
Between twenty and sixty seconds. Shorter rarely contains a complete exchange, longer loses the people who arrived without context.
Do I need video of the recording?
It helps considerably and is not required. Audio plus strong captions plus something moving is a workable clip.

- Long video to ShortsA forty-minute video usually contains three or four genuinely self-contained moments, and the reason repurposing disappoints is that people cut on chapter markers instead of finding those..
- Video caption generatorThe caption is the only part of a post a viewer can read before deciding to watch, and it is almost always written last, at 11pm, badly..
- B-roll generatorMost videos that nearly work fail for one boring reason: nothing changed on screen for long enough that the viewer's thumb got involved..
