The economic logic is that the expensive part of content is having the idea and checking that it is true. Formatting is comparatively cheap, so getting four posts out of one piece of research rather than one is where the leverage sits, particularly once production costs collapse.
The common mistake is summarising rather than splitting. A summary of an article is strictly worse than the article at everything, whereas a single claim from it made vividly in thirty seconds is better than both at its own job.
