The best ninety seconds of a long video

Most long videos contain three or four moments that would work alone. Finding them by scrubbing a timeline is the job nobody does.

Three steps

How it will work

  1. Point at the video

A talk, a podcast, a stream. Anything with more good moments than you have time to find.

  2. Review the candidates

Marked with why each one was picked, so you are judging a shortlist rather than a timeline.

  3. Cut and queue

Each clip goes out 9:16 with its own caption, on the schedule you already run.

What it is for

Why this one is worth having

  • Moments, not chunks

A good clip is a complete thought with a hook at the front, not sixty seconds sliced out of the middle.

  • Vertical by default

Reframed to 9:16, because a letterboxed clip announces it was made for somewhere else.

  • One source, weeks of posts

This is the highest-leverage habit for anyone already making long video and posting nothing short.

What you can already do

Clipping existing long video is not in PikoReels yet. What is: generating short-form from scratch and scheduling it across all three surfaces.

FAQ

Shorts clip maker, asked and answered

How long should a Short be?

Anything vertical and under three minutes qualifies, but typical watch time is measured in seconds. A longer Short needs a real reason to be longer.

Can it caption the clips?

Captions written per clip are already how PikoReels works for generated reels, and the same applies to anything it schedules.

Is this available now?

Not yet. If your bottleneck is posting rather than sourcing, Automations already solves that half today.
