What is the difference between cutting and trimming?
Trimming keeps one stretch and drops both ends. Cutting removes a stretch from the middle and keeps both sides, joined. If the bad part is at an edge, the trimmer next door is the right tool.
Will there be a visible jump at the cut?
There is a hard cut where the stretch was, the same as any edit. If the framing either side matches, it reads as a cut rather than a glitch, and you will not get a black frame or a stutter.
Does the audio stay in sync?
Yes. Picture and sound are encoded together on both sides of the cut, so the join carries both.
Does my video get uploaded?
No. Both kept sides are encoded in your own tab and the file never leaves your machine.
Can I cut more than one stretch?
One stretch per pass. Run the result through again for a second cut. Past two or three, you are editing, and an editor will be kinder to you.
